Commissioning an Acrylic/Oil Painting

COMMISSIONING AN ACRYLIC/OIL PAINTING is a process that involves your input.
First, we have a conversation to gather information and get impressions of what you are looking for in your painting.

You should know that I can add or subtract people, animals, backgrounds and foliage. I can paint a beautiful painting to go in your personal space and complement its surroundings, but what I cannot do is paint like anyone else. If you like what you see on my website, you will be pleased with your painting because this is how I paint and I can’t do it another way.

Of course, it is best if I take the photos. Sometimes this is not easily accomplished, but can be done. Otherwise, you would send me a photo or several photos of the subject. If you prefer to send me the photos, I would ask you to take photos with a stronglight source for a more dramatic painting.

I work on 24” x 36” archival quality Birchwood painting panels with a 1.5/8th profile.

Once we have an agreement to start on a painting, I will require a deposit equal to 35% of the total price to start the project. If I am commissioned to take the photos, a separate cost will be determined for that service.

Once you approve the sketch, made with vine charcoal and acrylics, a second payment of 35% is due and I can begin to paint.
When the painting finished, I will require the final 30% balance be paid, upon which your painting will be shipped with handling and shipping included in your price. The final reveal can be via email or parcel service – your choice.

Super Fun! Have a party, maybe I can come!

A typical acrylic/oil painting of 24″ x 36″ dimension and of the description listed would be, $3000.00 and includes shipping and handling.
